Vintage Recipes

Old Fashion recipes, the kind we grew up with, are some of my favorites.

This collection of vintage recipes, like grandma used to make, come right from my grandmother's recipe collection and cookbooks. At some point I will dig out my antique recipe book and post a few recipes from it. That cookbook dates back to the mid 1800's. All of the recipes here come from cookbooks that date back pre 1950.

Although the ingredients for many of these old vintage recipes are almost impossible to find today, for some recipes they are still readily available and for those that are not, usually there is a common substitution.

I hope you all enjoy these classic vintage recipes as much as I do.
