About My Family Kitchen
MyFamilyKitchen.com began as an idea several years ago. I have always enjoyed cooking, even as a young child watching my grandmother in the kitchen. Around the holidays she would spend several days cooking time honored family recipes and I can still see and smell the food she prepared!

Although I am not a trained
chef by any means, I am a foodie. I love cooking and preparing
meals, snacks and desserts for family and friends. I have a library
full of cookbooks, some dating back to the mid 1800's.
I have often been asked why
I don't open a restaurant, and the answer is: I enjoy the intimacy
of cooking for small groups. I have worked in restaurants in
the past, and find the enjoyment of cooking is missing there.
