Cheese Stuffed Burgers

Cheeseburgers

These burgers are our favorites. The cheese is on the inside of the burger for something a little different and helps to keep the burgers moist and juicy.
This recipe makes aproximately 8 burgers.

Cheese Stuffed Burgers

  • 2 Pounds ground hamburg
  • 1 Garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Worchestershire Sauce

Cheese for stuffing the burgers. Blue cheese, Monterey Jack and Cheddar all work well.

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl except for the cheese. Seperate meat mixture into 16 equal burgers.
Place cheese of choice on 8 of the burgers, keeping edges clear. Cover each cheese mounded pattie with remaining patties, pressing edges to seal.

Place stuffed burgers on hot grill and cook for aproximatly 3 minutes on each side for medium rare burgers.. (cooking times may vary depending on your grill and desired doneness)

Topping Suggestions:

For Blue cheese stuffed burgers try lettuce, tomato, and mayonaise

For Monterey Jack stuffed burgers top with Salsa

For Cheddar stuffed burgers try your favorite BBQ sauce.

As an alternative to fries or chips, serve with grilled potatoes or grilled vegatables.
