Homemade Bread

Bread recipes, the staple of life. Nothing beats the smell of fresh baked bread and whether it's toast for breakfast, a sandwich, dinner rolls or dessert, bread is the one food on the menu that goes with any meal.

These homemade bread recipes are a staple in our house and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do. All of these recipes unless otherwise noted have been modified to work in a bread machine. If you don't have an bread machine, I suggest getting one. They are affordable and with the ease of use and clean up, making home made bread can be a daily tradition. I even use mine for making pizza dough.

Bread Recipes

Banana Bread - This Banana bread recipe is a variation of a recipe from Emeril Lagasse. I always make at least two breads when I do these because they go so fast.

Pizza Dough - This Pizza dough recipe is one we use all the time. I often jazz it up a bit by adding some fresh rosemary, basil or oregano to the dough.

Orange Date Nut Bread - For this bread you could make one big cake in a 1 pound coffee can or make 3 smaller ones so you have one to serve, one to freeze and one bread to give as a gift.

White Bread Recipe - This recipe for white bread was featured on Food network's Food 911 with Tyler Florence. He is one of my favorite chefs to watch, and hopefully someday I can get him to come give me some 911 cooking help!
