A variation of the classic
dry martini that was made with Gin, the Vodka Martini rapidly gainied
popularity through the 1960's and 70's. I would wager that the success
of the vodka martini was due largely in part to the James Bond movies.
Remember that classic line:
Vodka Martini
Fill a shaker cup with ice. add the vermouth and stir gently. add vodka and stir again. strain into martini glass and garnish. Note: for a very dry martini drain vermouth from shaker glass before adding vodka.
