Steak and Pickle Bites Recipe

Steak and pickle bites are simply delicious. I often make a large batch and freeze some for cooking when we have unexpected company or just for snacking on when the urge hits. Using dill pickles is the key to this recipe as it adds tons of flavor to the steak.

Steak and Pickle bites

  • 1 jar dill pickle spears
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 pound shaved or very thin pounded steak
  • Toothpicks soaked in water for at least one hour

start by placing a pickle spear at the edge of a steak and roll. wrap with a strip of bacon. slice into 1/2 inch thick slices and spear with toothpick to seal together. repeat process for additional pickles and steaks.

place on cookie sheet with raised egdes about 8 inches from broiler and broil for 5-10 minutes or until bacon is browned.

There may be a large amount of liquid in the pan when finished cooking. remove cooked bites to wire rack to drain for a minute prior to serving.

If you have a family favorite appetizer recipe you would like to see featured on our "recipe of the week" section, please send it to us. We will try all submitted Recipes and post our favorite.
