Oyster Stew

This classic stew recipe will be an instant hit with your wedding guests. Oyster stew is a simple recipe to prepare and goes well with any seafood dish.

Throughout time, oysters have symbolized romance and love. What a great stew to kick off any wedding reception with!

Oyster Stew

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups milk
  • 1 quart oysters
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons celery salt
  • dash pepper

Scald the milk.
heat the oysters in a seperate pan in thier own juices
over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until the edges begin to curl. add butter, hot milk, salt, pepper and celery salt. stir well. when butter is fully melted it's ready to serve.
