Home Made Dog Treats
Dogs love cookies and these
home made biscuit treats are sure to keep your puppy wagging
his tail and begging for more.
Not only are these dog treats
easy to make, but they are much healthier for your dog than
the store bought cookies. Roll the cookie dough out and cut
it into bone shapes or use a biscuit cutter for round dog
cookies.
Home Made Dog Cookie
Biscuits
2 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. white or yellow corn meal
1/4 c. wheat germ
1/4 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. chicken or beef broth
1 lg. garlic clove -- crushed
1 tbs. soft margarine
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Add wheat flour, corn meal and wheat
germ to a bowl and stir. Place egg and broth in a separate
bowl and whisk to combine.
Slowly add wet ingredients to dry, Stirring
steadily with a spoon. Add garlic and margarine. If cookie
dough is too sticky, add extra cornmeal, one teaspoon at
a time.
Flour work surface and roll dough to
1/8 inch thickness.
Use boned shaped cookie cutter to cut out dog cookies.
Bake dog biscuits on greased cookie
sheet 15-20 minutes. Cool and serve to your favorite canine.
