Appetizer Bites Recipe

Bacon Bites Appetizer

A simple and easy appetizer recipe, These creamy bacon bites make a great snack or finger food for any party. I often make two recipes for these appetizers, substituting crab or shrimp for the bacon in one of them.

Recipe For Bacon or Crab Appetizer Bites

1 package prepared crescent rolls
4-6 slices bacon chopped or 1/4 cup crab meat
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
3 ounces cream cheese
salt and pepper to taste

preheat oven to 350 and combine the cheese, bacon (or crab) onion, salt and pepper in a small bowl.

separate the crescent roll dough into 2 rectangles and press seams together with fingers to seal. spread with cream cheese mixture and roll up starting at longest edge, pressing together to seal at final wrap. slice into 1/2 to 1 inch slices and place on greased (i use cooking spray) cookie sheet cut side down. bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

appetizer is best when served warm.
